5k in May Fundraiser
We’re holding our #5kinMay fundraiser for a second year. Inviting people to join members of the team in completing 5ks in May in whatever way they like to raise money to help support the mental health of healthcare workers.
Join us to take on a new challenge and raise money for a hugely important cause. It’s easy to sign up and we’ll be there to support you throughout. We are encouraging fundraisers to complete 5k in May, but it’s completely up to you what kind of challenge you take on. Whether you walk/run/swim/cycle/scoot 5k a day, every other day, or build up your distance over the month – the options are endless! Our CEO, Ann Paul will be joined by some of our Ambassador team to complete 5k EVERY day in May and we’d love you to get involved too!
Zermatt to Verbier Alpine Hike Challenge
21st-25th March 2022
We were recently involved in a very exciting fundraiser in partnership with the Intensive Care Society. An alpine hike and ski challenge from Zermatt to Verbier for 6 formidable participants, raising over £50,000 to be split between the two charities.

Practitioner Health – The Wounded Healer Conference 2022
The conference saw an abundance of influential speakers, including writer Adam Kay, presented and discussed the ongoing pandemic of mental health difficulties in the medical profession post COVID-19. This was a great fundraising and networking event for us, where we were able to present a photography exhibition, as well as a unique play, written specifically for Doctors in Distress as part of our Restore: Creativity Project.

December 2021 Festive Fundraiser
Our festive fundraising event in December 2021 was held at the Royal Society of Medicine, where we saw Gary Lineker OBE in conversation with Sir Simon Wessely, discussing mental health and our NHS. We were happy to host close to 100 guests at our first large scale fundraiser, building relationships and raising money for the charity. Thank you to all involved!
