In collaboration with CHSA, Doctors in Distress is offering a course of 8-weekly free Therapeutic Knitting Groups for Nurses & Allied Healthcare Workers, led by Clinical Psychologist, Dr Mia Hobbs.
The groups will run on a Tuesday, from 10th May – 18th June, 1-2.15pm. Participants are required to have some basic knitting experience and each will have their own project that they work on. Participants would need to bring their own needles and wool, further details on this will be shared after registration.
This programme is part of our wider Restore: Creativity Project in partnership with the Bigger Picture Collaboration and NHS Practitioner Health which focuses on restoration, reflection and recovery through the arts and humanities. This project will explore different areas of creativity, including the visual arts and the written word, to give all medical professionals the opportunity to reflect and connect with each other in supportive and creative spaces.
N.B. Please only register if you are available to attend most of the sessions.
