Fundraising Resources
Our healthcare workers give everything to care for us –
now it’s our turn to care for them.
Long shifts, traumatic experiences, and relentless pressure have left too many struggling in silence with their mental health.
We rely almost entirely on the generosity of people, like you, to continue our vital work protecting the mental health of healthcare workers and preventing suicide. With no Government funding, your support is not just appreciated – it’s essential.
Together, we can ensure those who care for us receive the care they need too.

Why do health care workers need our support?
- A third of health workers are experiencing burnout and 34% feeling emotionally exhausted (NHS 2024 Staff Survey)
- Mental health problems accounted for quarter of absences among NHS staff in 2022, amounting to 6 million days (Nuffield Trust)
- Royal College of Nursing report shows 76% rise in staff seeking support for suicidal ideation in the first half of 2024, compared with the same period in 2023.
- 33% of doctors are struggling with their workload, almost a quarter of trainee doctors are at risk of burnout and 48% of GPs are struggling with workload (GMC survey, August 2024)
Where do your donations go?
- Since we launched our support programmes in 2020, we have helped 6000 people with their mental health.
- We run professionally facilitated support groups, expert-led webinars and distance learning burnout courses.
- We carry out advocacy and campaigning work, including running our National Memorial Tree Campaign.
Every donation – big or small – helps build a stronger, healthier future for health workers. There is no health service without its staff.
