Dr Clare Gerada MBE FRCGP FRCPSYCH
Dr Clare Gerada is a GP who works in London. She established the Practitioner Health Programme to support doctors and dentists with mental health and associated issues.
She is past Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners, only the second woman to hold this position in 50 years. She is now a member of the BMA Council and has recently been appointed co-chair, with Sir Chris Ham, of the NHS assembly.
“I am passionate about doctors being the best they can be, they are humans too. I, along with Doctors in Distress, recognise that when they need help, they have the right resources available to them in a kind and compassionate environment. I am proud to be a patron of this charity and hope together we can make a difference and look after those that care for us.”
